Take a swing for the Diabetes Society! The Annual Golf Classic is an annual fundraiser that helps support the programs and services of the Diabetes Society. Entry fees include a round of golf with carts, gifts, lunch, refreshments, and a wonderful dinner. Additional fun includes: donation drawings for exciting prizes, an auction with fantastic gifts, and fun games on the course with beer and margarita stops along the way.
- What: 15th Annual Diabetes Society Golf Classic benefiting the Diabetes Society's programs and services.
- Where: Silver Creek Valley Country Club. This 18-hole, private club is located in the foothills above
- When: Monday, September 10, 2007. Registration opens at 9:30am. Shotgun Start, Scramble format will follow at 11:30am. A cocktail reception with great food, auction, raffle and prizes will follow tournament.
- Why: Proceeds from this event will benefit the Diabetes Society. Your friends or family members may need our services in the future, and we are committed to providing the education and encouragement necessary for them to care for themselves.
The Diabetes Society provides a one-stop shop for diabetes education and support. Registered nurses, registered dietitians and certified diabetes educators provide information about medications, supplies and blood glucose management. We serve 20,000 people annually with funding from individuals, service clubs, corporate and foundation grants.
- How: Entry fee includes round of golf with cart, gifts, lunch, refreshments, and a wonderful dinner. Additional fun includes: Donation drawings for exciting prizes, an auction with fantastic gifts, and fun games on the course with beer and margarita stops along the way. Players may invite guests to meet them for the awards dinner and auction/raffle after the tournament for $55. The individual entry fee is $300. To sign up, fill out the Contribution Form and return it to the Diabetes Society (address is on the form).
